Jeff LoVecchio: Rapid Fire Q&A

Former professional hockey player and owner of RIPT hockey joined us for a quick conversation and gave us the chance to learn a little more about him.

Who was your favorite athlete growing up?

Jeff: Joe Sakic

Favorite athlete to watch in current-day sports?

Jeff: This is impossible for me to choose! Any of the players I work with and have worked with. I love watching them grow and progress.

Best moment of your sports career?

Jeff: Two instances. First, in my very first AHL game after signing with the Bruins I scored a goal, had an assist, and got first star of the game. Second, after missing a year and a half after a bad concussion in my first game back I got to come out wearing an “A” on my jersey, scored two goals, and got the star of the game. That just meant so much to me because I honestly wasn’t sure if I would ever come back, and to come back like that was truly incredible.

Best teammate you’ve ever had?

Jeff: Paul Stastny. I have had the pleasure of working with him as a strength coach for the past two years as well, and he was always the best player on the ice but always had the time to talk to you and help however he could.

Favorite exercise for training?

Jeff: HIP THRUSTS! Glutes are the ticket, especially with hockey, and they help with basically every facet of the game.

Favorite music artist?

Jeff: This is a tough one because I’m a music fanatic, but all time I think  I have to say Blink-182.

Favorite place you’ve traveled to?

Jeff: I’ve been fortunate enough to travel to some incredible places and I’ve played in Norway, Italy, Austria, and Japan, but my two favorite places/cities I’ve been are definitely Budapest and Tokyo.

Biggest fear?

Jeff: Not being remembered.

What is one word that best describes you?

Jeff: Energy/energetic
