Pat Freiermuth: Rapid Fire Q&A

We had a chance to catch up with the Tight End for the Pittsburgh Steelers and asked him a few questions about his life and career to get to know him off the field a bit more.

Who was your favorite athlete growing up?

Pat: I grew up in Massachusetts, so I pretty much have to say, Tom Brady.

Favorite athlete to watch in current-day sports?

Pat: Still going to have to go with Tom Brady on this one too. As a professional football player myself, it is amazing to see what he is still able to do and the level at which he competes.

Best moment of your sports career?

Pat: I will always have a special place in my heart for the one-handed catch I made in my Freshman season against Ohio State. I consider that catch to be what started to put me on the map and started making me think I could really make it to the NFL.

Favorite stadium you’ve ever played in?

Pat: Aside from Beaver Stadium and Heinz Field, I would say that Kinnick Stadium (Iowa Hawkeyes) has been my favorite. It got so loud and that place just had incredible energy.

Favorite Music Artist?

Pat: Before a game and I’m trying to get pumped up, I throw on A Boogie.

Pregame Meal?

Pat: Spaghetti. Doesn’t matter what time the game is, it has to be spaghetti.

Favorite TV show?

Pat: Either Seinfeld or Family Guy. Both are just comedic classics.

What is one word that best describes you?

Pat: Energetic!

What’s your biggest fear?

Pat: As for many, I would say spiders (snakes are also up there)

If you could have one superpower, what would it be?

Pat: I would choose to be able to read minds. It would be interesting to get authentic and unfiltered thoughts.

BONUS QUESTION: As a Blitzer, what is your favorite part about the Morning Blitz?

Pat: The gritty videos! They’re hilarious and always kill me.
