Another .500 week in the books as our plays have gone 4-4 through the first 2 weeks, but this week’s board is filled with winners. The Ivy League returns to action as well as the majority of D1 and D3 teams. With the weather warming up and lacrosse back to being a staple on televisions during weekends, lacrosse season is officially in full swing.
Best Bets:
Air Force ML (-120) vs Colgate:
This play is more centered around the spot than the actual teams. Air Force is 1-1 on the year, dropping their opener to opener to Ohio State but responding well to upset Denver last weekend. Colgate is starting their season this weekend and will be at a severe disadvantage against a team on their 3rd of the season. The Graduation of leading scorer Brian Minicus does not help either, as he leaves a big hole to fill as he is now on Georgetown’s roster as a graduate student.
Princeton/Monmouth Over 22.5 or Princeton -12.5:
This might be my favorite play on the board, and I see this number rising even higher by the time this game starts on Friday. Princeton returns a loaded lineup that fell just short last year and will look to capitalize on an early season layup against Monmouth. Princeton should be able to put up at least 20 goals in this one, and I do not think Monmouth can do enough to keep it close. The difference between these two teams is too massive to see this game being close or even staying under.
Providence -4.5 ( -110) vs Siena:
This game is below the radar, but the line is way too close, in my opinion. Siena was down most of the game and luckily snuck out a win against NJIT. Providence took care of Holy Cross in their first matchup, and this one should go similarly to that one. They dropped a close game to Bryant last weekend, but the offense looked strong, putting up 14 goals. They will have a much easier matchup against Siena. I expect Providence to build a big lead early and cruise through to an easy cover.
Parlay of The Weekend:
Yale -2.5 + Ohio State/UNC Over 26.5 +235 (Draftkings)
These games are both being played on Sunday and will answer a lot of questions in college lacrosse. Yale returns to the field for the first time this year with a loaded offense lead by Matt Brandau. UNC just had their biggest win in the post Chris gray era, and this matchup with Ohio State will be filled with goals and highlights. Both games should be exciting from start to finish and a great way to end a loaded weekend of College Lacrosse.
