Truex dominates delayed New Hampshire NASCAR Cup ‘Crayon 300’

(Loudon, NH) The ‘Crayon 300’ NASCAR Cup event was pushed back to Monday afternoon due to torrential rain on Sunday. This makes the third consecutive event hampered by rainfall.

The track, washed clean by the rain, posed little challenge to 2017 Cup Champion Martin Truex, Jr.  Joe Gibbs Racing teammate and polesitter Christopher Bell led the opening lap but received immediate pressure from Truex.  Truex led early and often, winning all three stages.  Kyle Busch crashed late in stage one, and Aric Almorola crashed from the front in stage two.

Truex captured his third win of the season (and his first in New Hampshire) after capturing the pre-season race at the venerable L.A. Memorial Coliseum.  The Toyota driver took a few races in the regular season to get consistent but now he seems like a decent pick to win the Championship (+700).  Behind Truex were Joey Logano, Kyle Larson, Kevin Harvick, and Brad Keselowski.
