Kacey’ road to success was not an easy one. Her story of facing adversity, achieving the unthinkable, and rising as a leader – not just on her team or in women’s hockey, but in sports at large – speaks volumes to the athlete and human being that she is today.

Olympic gold and two-time silver medalist, and seven-time IIHF World Women’s Championship winner, Kacey has proven her value on the ice, but also uses her voice as a leader to make an impact in the movement for women’s equality.

Named one of Team USA’s top-three players in 2009, and three-time member of the U.S. Women’s Select Team for the Four Nations Cup, Kacey’s skill set, work ethic, and leadership has paved the way for her to become to the iconic female athlete she is today. Kacey played four years at the University of New Hampshire in the Hockey East conference, and ranks third all-time at UNH in career points by a defenseman.

“You can’t be what you can’t see.” Kacey is dedicated to inspiring young female athletes with access to the stories that have shaped the stars, as well changing the trajectory of the women’s game entirely.

The women’s hockey league has gone through a rollercoaster of change, frustration and hope as they strive for equality in the sport. Kacey stands in the forefront with other female leaders making their voices heard. She has become an iconic role model for younger female athletes, and is paving the way to achieving a brighter future for the next generation of players.
