The Mind Game

Sheahan has learned the critical aspects of mental health throughout his career, and the effects it has both on and off the ice.

“You have to figure out ways to get through the struggles of being a pro-athlete. It’s an unbelievable lifestyle, it’s a dream, but there’s also a part of it that can be taxing and stressful.”

Riley is a contemplative man who strives to become better off the ice as an all around human which, in turn, naturally effects his success on the ice. Reading, journaling and spending time in nature are a few of the keys to the mental side of Riley’s game..

Riley the Musician

Sheahan has always had a passion for music and he has carried it with him from 7th grade to today.

This guitar player started in his younger years, and once professional hockey became his career he found a little more time to train himself and practice during his off time. He enjoys playing duets with his fiance’, who happens to be a very talented singer. When playing solo, he finds the guitar to be a good escape and healthy mental reset.

Right now Sheahan considers himself a “campfire guitarist” who knows a few chords, but we’re thinking bigger. We’ll let you judge for yourself…
